Hi! I am a high school senior who is interested in international relations and biochemistry.
My love for international relations began with the debate team, which taught me to acknowledge and investigate the nuances and complexities behind global issues. By joining the International Baccalaureate (IB) program, I further challenged myself to think creatively about transnational problems and their possible solutions.
My passion for biochemistry began with an interest in my Biology and Chemistry courses, which led me to develop curiosity about where they intersect. Biochemistry fascinates me through its potential to improve a condition, cure a disease, and maintain health.
Outside of school, I can be found working at my local library, a role that stemmed from my lifelong love of reading. I also help tutor other students in Science, English, and Math through the National Honors Society and my work at Kumon. I am also the captain of BuildOn, where I organize service activities to help my community.
In my free time, I aim to bake a treat at least once a month to expand my repertoire. I also love to travel to explore new places, meet interesting people, and learn about various cultures.
